Omega's Speedmaster is among the most iconic watches in the world. For 2021, it's getting a new, Master Chronometer-certified movement. Dubbed the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, it offers resistance to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss and is officially certified as a Master Chronometer, the highest standard of precision in Swiss watchmaking. The movement sits inside an asymmetrical case inspired by the 4th-generation Moonwatch — the same worn on the moon by Apollo 11 astronauts — and as such has a step dial, double-bevel caseback, signature dot over 90, and a dot diagonal to 70 on the anodized aluminum bezel ring. It's fastened with an integrated five-links-per-row bracelet and will be available in eight variants.
