2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe
The C8 Z06 is officially here, and the rumors are true — Chevrolet's mid-engine supercar will be powered by a 5.5-liter LT6 with flat-plane crankshaft, 670 horsepower, and a screaming 8,600 RPM redline. That is the highest horsepower, naturally-aspirated engine ever in a production car, and an idea of what is possible when GM flexes its formidable engineering muscle. The Z06 is 3.6 inches wider than the Stingray, with 20-inch front and massive 21-inch, 345-series tires at the rear, and larger brakes, and a revised Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension to take advantage of the wider track and larger rubber. The front and rear fascias have been redesigned for better aerodynamics, along with a prominent rear wing that generates more downforce and less drag than the previous ZR1. Carbon fiber wheels and carbon-ceramic rotors are available on the racing-spec Z07 package, with an even higher downforce aero package. Production on the new Z06 begins Summer 2022.
