The Prius has a history of controversial design, relying on its hybrid powertrain and fuel efficiency more than its looks to make the sale. Not any longer, however. The all-new 2023 Prius has been completely redesigned with a surprisingly sporty shape. The Prius will launch with the Series Parallel Hybrid, with a 193-horsepower total output. Later in 2023, the first Plug-In Hybrid Prius will debut, making 220-horsepower. All-wheel-drive will be offered across the Prius lineup. Based on the second-generation TGNA chassis, Toyota backs up the styling with the promise of driving dynamics, with a McPherson front suspension and multilink rear setup. The new Prius will be available in Winter 2022, with the Plug-In Hybrid version coming in Spring 2023.
