2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon

Following the introduction of the 2024 E-Class sedan, Mercedes has unveiled the real star of the E-Class lineup — the E-Class Estate. Based on the same chassis that underpins the C and S-Class cars, the Estate tastefully integrates the E-Class' updated styling to a wagon body style. Wider and longer than the outgoing model, the increased dimensions translate to more space behind the front seats. 6.6 feet of cargo space is available, along with standard rear air suspension to carry the extra weight. Inside, the Estate is bursting with tech, the biggest piece of which is the MBUX Superscreen. The Superscreen puts the digital gauge cluster, central infotainment screen, and passenger screen under one cabin-spanning piece of glass. A selfie camera for the driver hooks into apps like Zoom and TikTok — the wisdom of using either while operating a motor vehicle is left up to the discretion of the owner. Three powertrains are available at launch: A 204 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a 197 horsepower diesel, and a 208 horsepower hybrid. Mercedes didn't mention whether the E-Class Estate will make it to the SUV-crazy North American market.
