2024 Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8 Watch
Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its namesake mission, Omega's original Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon Apollo 8 watch launched in 2018. It's back for 2024 with several notable upgrades. The manual-winding, METAS-certified Calibre 3869 movement has the Earth-facing lunar surface on its dial-facing side and the "dark side" on the back, both of which are rendered in greater detail thanks to laser engraving and are visible through the skeletonized dial and sapphire caseback, respectively. The 44.25 case, polished bezel — filled with white Grand Feu enamel — and caseback are all crafted from separate pieces of black ceramic, while the patent-pending small seconds hand at 9 o'clock is a Grade 5 Titanium recreation of the Saturn V rocket. It sits on a perforated rubber strap with yellow stitching to match the yellow accents of the central seconds and subdial hands.
