2025 Can-Am Pulse & Origin Electric Motorcycles
Can-Am started as a motorcycle company in 1973 and found immediate success with its motocross and enduro bikes. By the '80s, Can-Am's parent company had shifted its priorities and outsourced sourced design and production to England, with Can-Am producing its last motorcycles in 1987 — until now. The Pulse and Origin electric bikes are Can-Am's re-entry into motorcycles. Both bikes are powered by Rotax's E-Power 47 horsepower motor, with a maximum torque of 53 lb-ft and an 8.9kWh battery pack. The battery, charger, inverter, and motor are liquid-cooled, both preventing degradation and improving charge times — a 0-80% recharge takes 50 minutes on Level 2 charging. The Pulse is an e-moto designed for street cruising, with the Origin built for off-road riding. Range is a combined 80 miles, and both models feature four drive modes, reverse, and a sharp 10.25-inch touchscreen display with built-in Apple CarPlay and an integrated mobile app. The Pulse and Origin are available for pre-order now.
