Acura NSX GT3 Race Car
The powerplant inside the new NSX is no slouch. So it's no surprise they didn't need to do much to modify it for racing. In fact, the 3.5-liter, 75-degree, twin turbocharged DOHC V-6 inside the Acura NSX GT3 Race Car is built using the same design specs as the engine in the production car. The race version is instantly identifiable, however, thanks to custom carbon fiber bodywork that reduces the car's weight while adding aero components like a wing spoiler, underbody diffuser and enlarged hood vents for better cooling. Like the road car, the GT3 will be built at the company's Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, and should receive its FIA classification this fall.
