It's way more efficient to launch things into space from the air instead of the ground. Aevum is the first to do it without putting humans in harm's way. Their Ravn X vehicle is the world's largest drone, measuring 80 feet long, 18 feet tall, and 60 feet across. A fleet of them will be able to launch satellites into orbit at a rate of one every 180 minutes while being 70 percent reusable — a win for the environment. The company has already secured government contracts for payload delivery; a launch date has yet to be announced.
