Aim EV Sport 01 Concept
At the 2023 Good Festival of Speed, a new EV will take to the hill running in the First Glance category. The AIM EV Sport 01 is the first concept car by Japanese engineering firm AIM, built to showcase its APM200 electric motor. The response to the EV Sport 01 was so overwhelming that AIM is looking at making a limited production run. Until then, AIM CEO Yukinori Suzuki will be piloting the concept at Goodwood. The rear-wheel-drive car uses two motors on the same axle, each driving its respective wheel for an advanced torque vectoring effect, with 483 horsepower and 513 lb-ft of torque on tap. The EV Sport 01's long hood/short deck fastback design recalls Japanese sports cars like the Datsun 280Z — made even more interesting due to Shiro Nakamura penning the car's lines, the designer behind Nissan cars like the Cube and R35 GT-R. Look for the EV Sport 01 in action when Good starts July 13-16.
