Akara Custom 1:64 Scale Automotive Models
Bangkok-based Akara Studio has taken scale modeling to a minuscule new level with their 1:64 models. The same size as Matchbox cars, Akara uses a combination of existing models and custom parts to create their incredibly detailed creations. Each one is hand-painted, with real-life vehicles like classic Porsches and tuner cars to superbikes and even the motorcycle from Akira represented. Parts like roll cages, brake discs, and even the lettering on tires are visible, and some models reside in their own dioramas packed with scaled accessories as detailed as the cars. Akara occasionally offers up models and parts for sale, with information available on their Instagram profile.
