While the NES-matching grey, black, and red original is perhaps the best remembered, Nintendo made countless fun variations of the Game Boy and its successors over the years. In that spirit, Analogue is launching the Pocket Glow. Made using Glow in the Dark plastic, it charges via sunlight, incandescent, or blacklight and will glow for 8 hours per charge. Like the original Pocket, it's compatible with Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges out of the box, with adapters available for Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx, and other portable titles. It has a sharp 3.5" color LCD screen, charges over USB-C, and can be docked to output games over HDMI. The Analogue Glow will go on sale at 8 a.m. on September 1st in "highly limited quantities".
