Andy Warhol's Patek Philippe Calatrava Watch
Apart from his iconic artworks, Andy Warhol was a notable collector of many things, including watches. Believed to have owned as many as 300 at one point, it's said that Warhol kept his favorites at the center of the canopy above his bed. This Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 570 is thought to have been among them. It has a classic design that provides an interesting juxtaposition with Warhol's pop-art aesthetic and is made even more desirable by its "double-signed" dial, which carries the name of its retailer, Rome-based Hausmann & Co. The watch will come up for sale as part of Christie's New York Watches Online auction, which begins on June 8th.
