Some updates are all about new features. Apple iOS 12 is all about speed. Everyday actions like launching the camera or bringing up the keyboard are up to 70 percent faster. A new feature called Siri Shortcuts lets you create series of actions from different apps that you can run all at once using a simple phrase. Photos does a better job of showcasing your best shots — and helps you quickly share them — and Group FaceTime lets you talk with up to 32 friends at once. A revised Notifications scheme and Screen Time aim to help you spend less time on your device, and Memoji let you create a custom 3D animated avatar. Arriving on most modern iPhones and iPads this fall.
