Apple has yet to offer an Apple Silicon replacement for the Mac Pro. For the time being, the Mac Studio appears to fill the gap. It's available with either the M1 Max or the new M1 Ultra processor, which is essentially two M1 Max chips connected via a proprietary UltraFusion architecture. The Ultra offers a total of 20 cores — 16 high-performance and four high-efficiency — with a 64-core GPU, 32 Neural Engine cores, and support for up to 128GB of unified memory. The aluminum case has a footprint of just 7.7" square, with a height of 3.5", and offers four Thunderbolt, two USB 3.0, HDMI, and a pro audio output on the back, and two USB-C or Thunderbolt 4 ports and an SDXC card slot on the front.
