1959 Lister Costin Chevrolet

The result of a collaboration between British builder Brian Lister, De Havilland alum, designer, and engineer Frank Costin, and American-built V8 power, this 1959 Lister Costin Chevrolet is an impressive example of racing past. It has a long history of runs at events across the U.K., South Africa, and the U.S., and was completely restored by Californian-based Canepa Design. It's now in the hands of renowned race house Hall and Hall and offers its buyer a ride ready to compete in a variety of vintage events.

  • 1965 Ford Mustang No. 00002

It might be serial number 00002, but as no. 00001 went to a convertible, this 1965 Ford Mustang is the very first Mustang hardtop. Exhaustively researched by historian Bob Fria, it's unclear whether the convertible or this car rolled off the assembly line first. What is clear is that it was built during pre-production preparation and was meant to end up at a Vancouver dealer to be on display for the car's introduction. Instead, it was accidentally misrouted and ended up in the cold of the Yukon. Fria eventually tracked the car down in 1997, and it underwent a two-year restoration that returned it to its original condition — complete with a date code correct 170ci inline 6-cylinder engine. As a result, it's not only a supremely rare piece of automotive history but one that's in pristine condition, as well.

  • 1984 DeTomaso Pantera GT5

One of less than 300 built, this 1984 DeTomaso Pantera GT5 is an excellent example of this once-overlooked sports car. Powered by a 351-cid V8 engine linked to a five-speed ZF manual transaxle, it combined reliability with Italian design. This particular model underwent an exhaustive $85,000 restoration, and as such its black paint, distinctive GT5 bodywork — complete with optional rear wing — burgundy interior, gated shifter, and Veglia gauges showing 21,000 km are all in a show-ready state.
