2006 Dodge Hornet Concept

2006 Dodge Hornet Concept

Dodge showed off a tiny new B-segment car this week at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show that is surprisingly hot. With its wide stance and aggressive front-end, the 2006 Dodge Hornet Concept has a rally-inspired look that will take your mind off the fact that you're riding in something the size of a Chevy Aveo. The Hornet has a an exposed engine intercooler flanked, 19-inch wheels, blue-tinted windows, and is powered by a 1.6L supercharged four-cylinder engine putting out 170 hp. As always, there's no word on if/when this will go into production.

  • BMW Z4 Coupe

We continue our concept car coverage from the Frankfurt International Motor Show today with the spectacular BMW Z4 Coupe ($TBA). Obviously based on the Z4 Roadster, the new two-seater hardtop is powered by BMW’s new 3.0-liter straight-six, which produces 265 hp for a 0-60 time of 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. It's equipped with an advanced suspension and brake system, and has a unique contrasting interior featuring caramel leather with polished and brushed aluminum components. Word from the show is that the Z4 Coupe looks production ready and could be on showroom floors before we know it.

  • Mitsubishi Concept-Sportback

Ok, we've come to the conclusion that the cars we post this week are more than likely going to be unavailable concept models since that's what companies tend to unveil at shows like the Frankfurt International Motor Show, which is taking place this week. Here's our second sleek pick from event — Mitsubishi's "Concept-Sportback" ($TBA). Little is known about the car, except that it sits on the company's new C-segment global vehicle platform and created for the new 4-cylinder MIVEC engines with either 2WD or 4WD drivelines. Oh, also known is the fact that the car has the most badass front and rear end imaginable.
