2016 McLaren 650S GT3

A high-powered daily driver, it's not — but if you're looking for a GT racer for the upcoming season, the 2016 McLaren 650S GT3 is a good bet. This track-only version is powered by a biturbo 3.8L V8, limited to 500 hp to meet FIA GT3 regulations and paired to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The interior is predictably sparse, with a carbon fiber racing seat and dash, six-point harness, adjustable pedals, and a racing steering wheel, and built-in air jacks let your crew lift the car's 2,733 pounds off the ground with nothing but an air line.

  • 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster

Continuing a legacy that dates back to the race-winning 718's of the '50s and '60s, the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster earns its title by adopting flat four-cylinder engines, just like its namesake. The standard model has a 2.0L powerplant making 300hp, good for a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 170, while the S variant relies on a 350hp turbocharged 2.5L unit to move from 0-60 in 4 seconds flat on its way to 177 mph. The engines aren't all that's new — the suspension has been retuned, the brakes improved, and every body panel inside and out replaced, save for the luggage lid, windshield, and convertible top. Other options include the Sport Chrono Package from the 911, Porsche Active Suspension Management, and LED headlights.

  • 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR

We thought the F-Type R was plenty fast enough. Apparently the Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations unit thought differently. The 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR is the result of their dragging the sports car past the 200 mph mark and into supercar territory. Details are scant at this point, but it's apparent that the SVR has a new front end and hood with larger air intakes, larger brakes, a new rear spoiler, and will be available in both coupe and convertible variants. Oh, and get your checkbooks ready, because the last F-Type Special Vehicle Operations worked on sold out at a blistering pace.
