Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Concept

Tracing its roots to the off-road S10 variant first introduced in 1994, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Concept looks to bring the model two decades into the future. It boasts a body that's four-inches wider than its Z71 sibling and all-new front and rear facias, giving it greater approach and departure angles. Other off-road features include integrated, flip-out aluminum tow hooks, a built-in winch, and shock absorbers by King. And with a new 2.8L Duramax diesel providing an estimated 181 hp, it's got the power to get you through whatever the wilderness throws your way.

  • Lexus NX

It might be classified as an SUV, but you won't see the Lexus NX taking on trails anytime soon. Instead, this new offering was designed for urban use, with a striking, angular compact body that offers maximum creature comforts in minimal space. It's powered by either a hybrid system with a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, generator, motor and battery, a 2.0L turbo engine, or a normally aspirated 2.0L, and sits on either 17- or 18-inch wheels. Inside, you'll find forward-thinking features like a wireless charging tray, a new touchpad-based interface, and a Panoramic View Monitor that combines video from four cameras to provide a glimpse of everything happening around the car — perfect for avoiding pedestrians and other urban-specific obstacles.

  • 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport

No, it's not a high-powered version of the standard, boxy Disco we all know and love. Instead, the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport is an all-new compact SUV that's the first in a new family of Discovery vehicles. The Sport features a sleek, aerodynamic body shell made from steel and aluminum, and is powered by a 240hp, turbocharged 2.0L engine, coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Of course, it's still a Land Rover, and as such offers standard all-wheel drive, a host of off-road goodies like Hill Descent Control, Roll Stability Control, and Electronic Traction Control, and an all-new infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen that boasts off-road specific apps alongside the media and navigation features you expect.
