Hennessey Venom F5
After years in development, Hennessey has taken the wraps off the production version of its Venom F5 hypercar, an all-new ground-up design powered by a twin-turbo V8 making 1,817 horsepower. Performance figures are stratospheric, with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.34 horsepower per kg, thanks to its 2,998-pound curb weight. Hennessey claims a 0-60 run of 2.3 seconds, with a top speed goal of over 300 MPH — smashing the production car record. Hennessey will be going for the record at the 3.2-mile long NASA Shuttle Landing Facility in Florida in the first half of 2021. Hennessey also promises handling to match the speed and acceleration, with a rigid carbon fiber tub and a design overseen by form GM Performance Division Director John Heinricy.
