Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic

The original Evoque was a car with an identity crisis — caught somewhere between a crossover SUV and a hatchback — but for its latest derivative, the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic maybe that's okay. Finding itself squarely on the hot hatch end of the spectrum, the Autobiography Dynamic's 2-liter turbo four-cylinder gets a significant power bump, bringing it up to 285 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Other goodies include much larger front disk brakes, torque vectoring by braking to better distribute the car's power while improving handling, and a vibrant orange paint job.

  • Starwood Full Metal Jacket Jeep

Don't let the name fool you — you don't need to be on the front lines battling Vietcong to drive the Starwood Full Metal Jacket Jeep ($107,000). But we're willing to bet it would be just as at home on the battlefield as it is on the toughest friendly terrain. This heavily-customized Jeep Wrangler features a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower, letting it get from zero to 60 in 8.4 seconds (not bad for something this big). A fully-upgraded suspension and lift kit, LED light bars all around, and kevlar panels on the interior and exterior make it one bad ride.

  • 2014 Toyota 4Runner

When you're heading out into the wild, you don't want a car masquerading as an SUV — you want a real, rugged off-roader. Like the 2014 Toyota 4Runner ($33,000 and up). Built using proven body-on-frame construction methods, this stout vehicle features a towing capacity of up to 4,700 lbs, an optional Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, and a 270hp, 4.0L V6 engine offering up to 22 mpg, ensuring that you won't run out of gas if you trek farther into the wilderness than you'd planned. And for those times when you're forced back into civilization, it features a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, optional navigation and app support, a backup camera, an optional sliding rear cargo deck, and up to three rows of seating, giving you plenty of room for your gear when you're out on the trail and your friends when you're not.

Sponsored by our friends at Toyota. We're all born wild. The trick is staying that way. 4Runner remains a rugged beast of a body on frame. The perfect companion for those brave enough to keep it wild.
