Artisans de Genève Heart of Namibia Rolex Submariner Watch
Rarely are alterations to esteemed watches approved by the original manufacturer — Rolex, for example, doesn't love to see its most iconic reference numbers adorned with subpar aftermarket parts. Artisans de Genève, however, is no back-alley operation. The globally recognized, bespoke watch customizers receive the blessing of the brands it "operates" on, and treat the watches with the utmost respect — and turn them into wholly unique products, all without defacing them. Their newest venture, the Heart of Namibia Rolex Submariner (ref. 116610), features a 0.3mm thick dial crafted from a real meteorite stone, which was sourced from Namibia (hence the name). It's complemented by an in-house moon phase complication with a contrasting aventurine sky and mother-of-pearl moon. The caseback comes engraved, cementing the customization, and the internal movement features an additional rotor made from white gold paired with a matching meteorite insert.
