Asphalt & Gravel NX650 Dominator Motorcycle
Honda's NX650 Dominator was an air-cooled single-cylinder dual sport made from 1988 to 2000. The NX650 was strictly no-frills and, dead simple, and just worked. Italian custom shop Asphalt & Gravel took this NX650 and created a nostalgic 70s throwback machine that perfectly captures the philosophy of the underlying machine. The tank was changed out with a unit from a 1971 KTM dirt bike that's held in place with two leather straps. A shortened subframe carries a hand-stitched leather seat and modern USD forks provide a substantial improvement in ride and handling over the originals. A simplified wiring harness and LED lighting de-clutters the frame, with completely blacked-out paint adding the final touch. Nailing the 70s aesthetic, Asphalt & Gravel's creation looks like something straight out of Steve McQueen's own collection.
