Audio-Technica AT-LP2022 Turntable
Acrylic is commonly used for turntable platters thanks to its higher mass, which leads to decreased wow, flutter, and vibrations. In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Audio-Technica has gone one better and created an entire turntable out of the material. Strikingly clear, the AT-LP2022 is a manual, belt-drive deck with a 30 mm-thick, high-density clear acrylic chassis that reveals internal components that are usually hidden. It comes with a limited-edition clear-body Shibata stylus adept at picking up ultra-high frequencies, paired with an exposed carbon fiber tonearm. The result is a turntable that sounds as good as it looks and will no doubt become the visual centerpiece of any Hi-Fi system.
