AWOL Vision's Vanish aims to solve this riddle, combining their LTV-3500 short-throw laser projector with a rolling screen. When turned on, the screen rises from the base while the projector slides out from its hidden compartment, stopping at the perfect distance to fill the screen. Sound is provided by 36W stereo speakers, and the set comes in five separate boxes, allowing it to delivered to places where similarly-sized flat-screens likely wouldn't fit.
