Baz Luhrmann's Gramercy Townhouse

Writer and director Baz Luhrmann and his wife have listed their Gramercy townhouse. Located on East 17th Street, the Anglo-Italianate brownstone was built in 1850 with views over Stuyvesant Square Park. It stands 28 feet wide with a three-bay facade, featuring arched windows and cast-iron balconies. The 8,500s-square-foot interior spans five stories to include six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two powder rooms, along with a Clive Christian-designed kitchen, parlor, bar, and gym. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, arched doorways, and original moldings run throughout, while a grand staircase connects each level. Floors can also be accessed by an elevator. The home includes an additional 2.242 square feet of additional FAR, allowing owners to expand the residence.
