BDP Biodegradable Mask

Face masks have become part of our daily lives, leading to around 129 billion of them getting thrown out every month. Unfortunately, like straw and bottles, they're made from plastic adding another form of the waste to our landfills, oceans, and soil. In response, the team at Change Plastic for Good has developed a technology they call BDP, and they're using it to make a biodegradable face mask. The organic ingredient allows microbes to consume the discarded material, leaving behind only natural remnants and no microplastics. It can even be recycled. With every purchase, a portion of profits will go to ocean cleanup projects to further combat the plastic waste that goes in to the fragile ecosystems.
