Bhakta Brandy
The founder of WhistlePig whiskey is taking a new swing in the spirits world. This time hoping to connect with 38 special barrels of Armagnac. The rare, ancient brandy is a blend of 8 different vintages that go as far back as 1868 that have been matured for 50 years in oak. The spirit is then double finished for short periods in Islay whisky casks, and then another Armagnac barrel. Those 38 barrels yielded three batches of the rare brandy, the first two of which are long gone. Bottles of the elusive spirit are filled at Bhakta Farms in Vermont and presented in handmade boxes with an included nine-page storytelling booklet written by Raj Bhakta himself.
