Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Day Date Desert Watch
Created for French Navy combat divers in the 1950's, Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms watch remains a legendary timepiece. Not long after that introduction, the watch was released with a smaller case to grab a wider audience. In the 1970s the watch evolved some more, adding cushion-shaped cases and day/date indications. The inspiration for that Bathyscaphe is intact today with this new release, which takes many aspects of the original and adds a gradient sandy beige dial with wide rectangular hands, an extra-long central seconds hand, and a chapter ring with 5-minute intervals. It's powered by automatic caliber 1315 DD movement with a robust 5 days or 120 hours of power reserve which is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The new timepiece is limited to 500 pieces and is finished with a matching desert-inspired beige strap.
