Brabus XL 800 Cabrio G-Wagen
Mercedes has let it be known that it's testing a convertible version of its iconic G-Series. Until it's released, however, well-heeled drivers can get their open-air fix with the Brabus XL 800 Cabrio. Based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63, it features a power-operating soft top consisting of over 500 custom-made components that opens and closes in just 20 seconds to deliver an OEM-quality experience. It's powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with two custom turbochargers for an output of 800 horsepower and a 0-60 time of just 4.6 seconds. Other exterior upgrades include a Brabus-developed portal axle system that increases ground clearance to 18.9 inches, a smattering of carbon fiber trim components, auxiliary lighting, a pale brown paint scheme, and black Monoblock wheels. The interior is unapologetically bold, with bright red leather on nearly every surface. The Brabus XL 800 Cabrio is limited to 50 examples.
