Machined from solid metals with a nearly indestructible clip, the Karas EDK Pen is at once both precise and rugged. It uses a click mechanism and rollerball cartridge manufactured by Schmidt in Germany — renowned for their high-quality, reliable parts — but will accept any Parker ballpoint refill. The exterior is tumbled to give it extra grip, with grooves on the bottom and knurling near the top. While the raw aluminum and anodized matte black versions are built to look great for years, the brass model is left raw and will develop its own unique patina over time.

Beyond being a rock-solid writing instrument, the Karas Bolt Pen was built to be something more — fun. Its bolt-action mechanism extends and retracts the Pilot G2 ink cartridge in three deliberate steps, making it more enjoyable to fidget with than your average ballpoint. The barrel is machined in the USA from 6061-T6 aluminum or C360 brass, while the clip and related hardware are stainless steel.
