The Eye Q 850 Auto judges toast the way a person does, by looking at it. Optical sensors check the bread's color ten times every second to catch it as soon as it matches the shade you chose from the seven settings, so the toast comes out the same each morning. You can put frozen slices straight in, no defrost step needed, because the sensors adapt to the cold bread. Sourdough Mode is prepared for the uneven browning common in rustic loaves and keeps correcting as the slice darkens to help even out the color. Timer Mode turns off the sensors for situations where you'd rather set the clock yourself.
