Caterham RAF Seven 360R Roadster

Caterham and the Royal Air Force are marking the retirement of an icon with a one-off Seven 360R to be auctioned off for charity. A Puma HC2 helicopter that had entered service in 1972 had reached the end of its service life, but instead of sending it off to the boneyard, the bird's home base at RAF Benson decided on something different. RAF Benson's Puma lives on RAF Seven 360R, with the aluminum skin of the doors and tail boom used as part of the Seven's bodywork. At the rear bulkhead is the Puma's door which still has the emergency jettison handle, and the interior is trimmed in quilted soundproofing material the helicopter's interior. The car wears a NATO green and Desert Sand colorway, with RAF patches stitched to the headrests. The Caterham made its debut at the British Grand Prix, with the car going to auction via the Collecting Cars online auction site.
