Chevrolet Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype

NASCAR is known for its V8-powered racing, but even it isn't immune to the push towards electrification. The Chevrolet Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype builds a high-tech electric racer atop the series' Next Gen chassis and suspension componentry. A 78-kWh liquid-cooled battery powers three six-phase electric motors that deliver over 1,300 horsepower to the tarmac via a programable all-wheel-drive system and Goodyear Racing Eagle tires. The exterior styling is inspired by the Blazer EV SS production vehicle that served as the pace car for yesterday's running of the 67th DAYTONA 500. No further plans for the prototype have been announced.
