Chevrolet Corvette CX & CX.R Vision Gran Turismo
Chevrolet's year of Corvette concepts continues with the CX & CX.R Vision Gran Turismo. Designed and fabricated at the Chevrolet Performance Studio in Warren, MI, both will serve as inspiration for future Corvette models. Both have a forward-lunging nose, horizontal line delineating the upper and lower bodywork, and dual-element taillights, all signature Corvette elements. They also feature fighter-jet-inspired cockpit canopies, a Vacuum Fan system that draws air through the open-channel bodywork to manage aerodynamic balance in real-time, and digital windscreens that turn the windshield into an immersive surround display. The CX is imagined as an all-wheel-drive electric supercar with four motors producing over 2,000 horsepower, while the CX.R combines three electric motors with a mid-mounted 2.0-liter dual-overhead-cam twin-turbo V8 that makes up to 900 horsepower. Both concepts will be available to drive in Gran Turismo 7 later this month.
