Clay Point House
Situated on the coast of Fishers Island, the Clay Point House is a waterfront masterpiece. Designed by New York City architect Thomas Phifer, the minimalist residence spans 180 feet across the shore and features a flat roof. Its complete glass facade wraps the 4,600 square-foot interior in views of the sound while flooding the living spaces in natural light. A limited palette of just steel, black carbonized bamboo flooring, and white walls maintain a refined aesthetic, allowing the surroundings and the artwork to become the focus. A moss garden nested between rooms further integrates the outdoors with the inside, and a reflecting pool extends out to the terrace.
