Vollebak Island

Vollbak is auctioning off an 11-acre island off the coast of Nova Scotia. Dubbed Vollebak Island, the remote property is accessed only by boat, kayak, or sea swim and is a diverse ecosystem of dense forests and coastlines. With the purchase, the new owners will also acquire exclusive rights to architectural concepts devised by Danish design studio Bjarke Ingels Group. The plan is centered around the Earth House, a network of nine structures 3d printed from hempcrete and boulders. Once completed, the sustainable compound will provide a look at what the future of life on Earth could be. Bidding begins on June 8, 2023.
