Climbing Arrow Ranch

After less than a week on the market, Montana's Climbing Arrow Ranch is pending. The listing generated an intense bidding war resulting in a sale price of $136 million. The sprawling 80,000-acre property was featured in the 1992 film A River Runs Through, directed by Robert Redford and starring Brad Pitt. Aside from its claim to fame, the ranch is also one of the largest undeveloped properties in the Rocky Mountains West, and if the deal goes through, it'll also be the most expensive. Located 30 miles from Bozeman, the land spreads across four counties and includes seven staff homes, along with 2,000 commercial Black Angus cattle and an abandoned railroad. The sale is expected to close over the summer.
