Danish architect Bjarke Ingels is known for a block-like approach to building design. His firm Bjarke Ingels Group, or BIG, is now partnering with fellow Danish firm Common Seating on the Voxel Sofa. More of a system than a single piece of furniture, it uses a grid-like pattern to allow for multiple configurations, from a single seat to a sectional. This also allows for damaged sections to be removed and or replaced without the need to discard the entire piece. The Voxel is available in a handful of colors and pre-selected configurations.
