Corde Toyota 150 Land Cruiser Prado Newscape SUV
Toyota's 150 Land Cruiser was produced for 15 years and sold over 3 million units worldwide. Instead of junking all these SUVs, Toyota's Corde division is giving them a new lease on life with the Prado Newscape. Developed in collaboration with The North Face and biotech firm Spiber, they start with a 2017-or-later TX grade 150 with black interior seating. Two variants are available, one in graphite with matte black bumpers, bolt-on fender flares, and orange accents, and one in a lighter grey with body-colored bumpers and yellow details. Both feature a matte black 17-inch wheel, roof rack, rear ladder, and mud flaps, while the interior sports Brewed Protein fiber upholstery, a fabric developed by Spiber that uses plant-derived sugars instead of petroleum. Both variants are available now in Japan, either as a modification option for current owners or as a finished, refurbished vehicle.
