David Rockefeller's NYC Townhouse

For 70 years, David Rockefeller lived at 146 East 65th Street in Lenox Hill. The sprawling Manhattan mansion was bought by Doug and Lily Band, who gave the 100-year-old home a four-year renovation. Its 12,500-square-foot interior now boasts eight bedrooms and over ten bathrooms. The garden level was dug out to accommodate 10-foot ceilings and features a chef's kitchen, den, pantry, and laundry room. A dumbwaiter connects to an additional kitchen and attached dining room on the first floor. A living room on the parlor floor maintains its original knotted wood paneling and neighbors a golf simulator, while a basketball court is on the fourth floor. The four-story residence also offers 3,500 square feet of outdoor space, including an English garden, multiple terraces, and a rooftop deck.
