De Tomaso P72 Supercar

De Tomaso was resurrected in 2019 with the P72, a concept car inspired by the 1965 De Tomaso P70. Six years later, it's ready for production. It's built on an all-new, clean-sheet carbon fiber chassis that has a unibody monocoque formed from a single, uninterrupted piece of carbon fiber with no bonded sections, and places the powertrain — a hand-assembled 5.0L supercharged V8 making 700 hp — at the lowest possible point for improved center of gravity. A push-rod suspension system provides a classic driving feel, an experience enhanced by the screen-free interior outfitted with analog dials and gauges, an exposed linkage shifter for the six-speed gearbox, hand-stitched leather, and hand-finished aluminum. The curvy full carbon fiber body is available in a curated range of heritage-inspired paint finishes or in exposed carbon; the P72 is limited to 72 examples.
