Dyson's latest innovation scales down its clean air obsession into a wearable form. The Zone merges a noise-canceling Bluetooth headphone with an air purifier to surround wearers in a clean air bubble. The headset features a visor that goes across the mouth and is equipped with a built-in 2-stage purification system that removes pollutants, bacteria, and allergens from public air and blows a continuous gust of clean air to your nose and mouth. At the same time, the headphones deliver high-fidelity sound while blocking out the noise around you. The product took Dyson engineers six years and 500 prototypes to develop, even going as far as creating a manikin with mechanical lungs for accurate testing. The Dyson Zone is expected to release later this year.
