El Rayo Reposado Tequila
El Rayo translates to "the lightning". The name is a hat tip to a story about lightning striking a Blue Weber agave plant and cooking it to create the first tequila. This spirit didn't receive that same treatment but instead is distilled in a 105-year-old copper still before spending seven months maturing in ex-whiskey casks. The soft, warm spirit has notes of cinnamon and honeyed vanilla and is a perfect summer sipper with tonic and a grapefruit garnish.
