Escape from New York Framed Japanese B2 Movie Poster
Manhattan as a free-range super-max prison. The US President crashed and held hostage. Kurt Russell in an eye patch. Released 40 years ago this week, John Carpenter's Escape from New York was set in a dystopian 1997 and offered a mix of sci-fi and action that won over critics, audiences, and eventually earned cult status (and a not-so-great sequel). This framed B2 poster is from the film's original 1981 Japanese run and is considered a "Plissken Style", after Russell's character Snake Plissken. It remains in outstanding condition four decades on and arrives in a custom frame with acid-free mats and backing along with a UV protective acrylic cover.
