Ferrari 12Cilindri Berlinetta & Spider

Sending its beloved V12 off in the second coming of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona couldn't be more fitting for Ferrari. The Ferrari 12Cilindri is a love letter to the engine configuration that is an integral part of the Prancing Horse's lore, a further refinement of the F140HD 6.5-liter V12 found in the Icona series, 812GTS, and Purosangue. There is no hybrid system — just a 9,500 RPM redline, enabling 819 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a close-ratio eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with the typical electronic trickery like driving modes, traction control, and the like. What are not present are active dampers or switchable rollbars, although the 12Cilindri does sport active aerodynamic bits. The exterior is one of Ferrari's best efforts in the last 20 years. The front is pure Daytona, with a black panel connecting the headlights, a classic fastback profile, and four rectangular taillights. Ferrari will introduce its first electric vehicle next year, making the 12Cilindri likely the last of what made the Italian automaker the icon it is today.
