Ferrari SC40
The Ferrari F40 is among Maranello's most iconic modern cars. The SC40 is a One-Off model from the Special Projects division, built for a single client, that pays homage to the supercar. This modern incarnation is a mid-rear-engined V6 that takes its architecture, chassis, and powertrain from the 296 GTB, but echos the F40's angular lines with softer surface transitions. Highlights include a long, low nose with a high, fixed rear wing, smoked Lexan louvres for views of the engine, large intercooler air intakes on the sides, and a custom SC40 White exterior color. Inside, carbon-Kevlar has been redeveloped for the car, and is used in the footwells, steering wheel, and some dashboard inserts, with a mix of charcoal Alcantara and red Jacquard technical fabric upholstery. A styling buck of the car is on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
