For a quarter-century, Firestone Walker has been crafting some of the best beer in the country. To celebrate this year, they're releasing a string of special releases and Dreamwood is the best yet. The beer begins with a base imperial stout and places it in 15-year Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels to mature for a year. While this is enough to place most beers at the top of the heap, FW goes one step further and aged the beer again in coveted 23-year Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for another six months. The result is a 16% ABV legend loaded with rich wood-infused flavors and packaged in 750ml bottles — a first for Firestone Walker. Only 150 cases were produced for members of Firestone Walkers Brewmaster's Collective club, which is accepting new members in October.
