Gazelle Eclipse E-Bike
Dutch e-bike maker Gazelle has gained a large following in the bike-loving Netherlands. Gazelle is now bringing the Class 3 Eclipse to the US, the first to offer Bosch's Smart System. The Bosch Smart System integrates the bike's motor, battery, and associated electronics into Bosch's Flow app, allowing for customization and long-term OTA fixes and feature updates. Class 3 is defined as pedal-assist only with no throttle and a maximum speed of 28 MPH. The Eclipse is available in high or step-through frames, with 60mm tires, a fork, and Shimano four-piston brakes. A 750Wh battery powers Bosch's Line Speed Motor with an Auto mode that automatically adjusts power output depending on speed and terrain — including hills and headwinds. The Eclipse comes in two models: The chain-driven 11-speed HMB with Shimano Deore XT derailleur, and the C380 HMB with a Gates belt drive and Enviolo CVT stepless hub. The Eclipse is available for order now.
