Goodyear Aero Flying Car Tire Concept

Designed for the cars of the future, Goodyear's Aero concept transitions from the road to the air with ease. One the road, it functions as a standard — if quite skinny — tire, but when tilted, the spokes act as fan blades, providing vertical lift for the vehicle. Aside from the whole flying car thing, the concept also looks to the future with magnetic propulsion, which allows the high rotating speeds required for such an application. Clearly just a concept, both its non-pneumatic structure and intelligent capabilities are being developed for more near-term use.
