Gunther Werks Porsche F-26 Stealth Edition
When Porsche introduced the Slantnose as a factory option on the 930 Turbo in the early 1980s, purists revolted. The lowered nose, pop-up headlights, and louvred fenders replaced the 911's most iconic feature with period excess, and opinions were brutal. Now, Gunther Werks' F-26 Black Stealth Fighter Edition is the latest chapter in a new perspective on the Slantnose: a blacked-out, 1,067-hp evolution of the Huntington Beach builder's F-26. Built on a reinforced 993 chassis with an all-carbon body, it rolls on 18x11 front and 18x13 rear magnesium monoblock wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Force rubber. A twin-turbo 4.0-liter flat-six, co-developed with Rothsport Racing, gains E85 flex-fuel capability in this edition while delivering 750 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed manual and limited-slip differential. JRZ electronic suspension, 381mm/355mm carbon-ceramic rotors, and GT-R calipers keep 1,067 horsepower planted and precise at any speed. A cult status the purists of 1981 couldn't have imagined.
